Speed is a highly concentrated supplement consisting of caffeine, the amino acids L-tyrosine and taurine as well as extracts of bitter orange (with synephrine), panax ginseng and ginger. Functionality and mode of action of Speed

Caffeine

Taurine

Taurine has become known as an integral part of energy drinks and has also proven itself in sports nutrition. Taurine can be found in the human body, especially in the muscles as well as in the brain, heart and blood. Taurine is a functional amino sulfonic acid. Taurine is involved in important metabolic processes and is classified as an antioxidant. Due to its functionalities a portion of Speed contains 500mg of this important amino acid.

Naringin

Naringin is a bitter substance contained in grapefruit and contributes to the typical taste. In modern sports nutrition, naringin is regarded as the ideal synergy substrate for caffeine in terms of its bioavailability. The speed formula takes this into account in terms of potency and therefore contains 50mg of naringin per serving.

Bitter orange extract (contains synephrine)

Synephrine is a natural extract of bitter orange (Citrus Aurantium). Although synephrine has been used in Chinese naturopathy for thousands of years, it only became popular in sports nutrition when Ephedrine/Ephedra was banned. The background to its popularity is that synephrine has a similar functional spectrum to ephedra, making it an ideal synergy substrate for caffeine.
